COMEDIAN Steve Harvey has given a tentative green light to his daughter’s relationship with Michael B Jordan, yet warned there’s a section of his heart filled with “hatred” for the actor – “just in case.”
The protective papa, 64, made his comments on iHeartRadio’s The Steve Harvey Morning Show and, while his words were tongue-in-cheek, there was a pretty serious undertone.
Black Panther actor Michael went Instagram-official with Lori Harvey earlier this month, as the pair cuddled up for a sweet series of snaps following months of romance rumors.
Talking of model Lori’s new squeeze, Steve admitted: “I like this one.
“I still got my eye on him. I mean I like him, but like I say to all of ’em, ‘I might like you, I might approve of you, but I got a thumb-size section of my heart filled with nothing but pure hatred for your a**.
“Just in case I need it.”
The Family Feud host continued to explain, and added: “Like right now? Nice guy.
“But I got this little section partner, where all I gotta do is click a switch and I can hate your a**.”
Making a witty reference to Michael’s Sexiest Man Alive title for 2020, Steve added on his show: “Cause, you ain’t the sexiest man in the world to me!” he said “Let’s be clear about that.”
Michael, 33, and Lori, 24, were first linked in November when they were spotted flying to her hometown of Atlanta for Thanksgiving.
A month later they touched down in Salt Lake City to ring in New Year’s Eve together.
Lori has had a history of high-profile celebrity ex-boyfriends– so Steve is likely well-versed at being wary.
In 2017, she was engaged to a Dutch soccer player, Memphis Depay, but they later called off the engagement and split in 2018.
Not long after her called-off engagement, the star dated Justin Combs, son of the rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs.
They were together for only a few short months, as she was also seen out and about with rapper Trey Songz that same year.

Shockingly, Lori then switched Justin for his dad, Sean “Diddy” Combs, in early 2019.
By October of 2019, Lori and Sean’s love affair had fizzled out, and in January of 2020, she announced a new fling with the rapper Future.
Recently, the happy couple celebrated Lori’s 24th birthday with a playful snow fight.
Michael also gifted his girlfriend bouquets and bouquets of white roses, which she showed off to her 2.9 m Instagram followers.
